Pool Rules: THE POOL RULES So that everyone has equal ability to enjoy the swimming area, we present the following Club Pool Rules:

1. All food and beverages in the pool area must be purchased from the Club. No coolers are allowed in the pool area.

2. Use of the pool facilities is at the swimmer's own risk.

3. Swimming is permitted only during open hours of the pool.

4. Children under the age of twelve are not permitted to use the pool unless accompanied and continually supervised by an adult.

5. All Members and their Guests must sign in upon entering the Pool area.

6. Showers are required prior to entering the pool to remove all suntan oils and lotions.

7. Glass objects, drinking glasses, beverage coolers and sharp objects are not permitted in the pool area.

8. All swimmers must wear bona fide swim attire. Cutoffs, dungarees and Bermuda shorts are not considered appropriate swimwear.

9. Children wearing diapers are not permitted in the pool. Toddler and infant 'swim pants' are purchasable at the Pool Snack Bar.

10. Running, ball playing and noisy or hazardous activity will not be permitted in the pool area. Pushing, dunking and dangerous games are not permitted.

11. Snorkeling equipment, other than a mask, may not be used in the pool except as part of an organized course of instruction.

12. Radios may only be used at a low volume or with earphones. If any other Members are inconvenienced by the noise level from a radio, it will be turned off.

13. All persons using the pool furniture are required to cover the furniture with a towel when using suntan lotions. The use of oils and lotions will otherwise stain and damage the furniture.

14. All persons using the pool area are urged to cooperate in keeping the area clean by properly disposing of towels, cans, cigarettes, etc.

15. Saving of chairs for persons not present at the pool is not permitted.

16. Private parties may be held in the pool area only with the prior approval of management. Parties can be held only by contacting the Catering Director, Service Director, or the Club Manager.

17. Food is allowed only in the designated dining areas of the pool facilities.

18. Floatation devices are permitted for non-swimming children up to five years of age. Any non-swimming children must be accompanied in the water by their parent or adult guardian. Small toys, such as balls, water guns, rings, etc. may be permitted, depending on the number of persons in the pool and the manner in which the toys are being used.

19. The throwing of balls, Frisbees, wet clothes, etc. is not permitted.

20. The pool staff (lifeguards and/or Snack Bar attendants) has full authority to enforce these rules, and infractions will be reported to the Club Management.

21. A height restriction of 48 inches is in effect for the use of either diving board at the Pool. If a parent feels that their under-height child is able to use the diving equipment in a safe manner, the parent can sign a hold harmless agreement to that effect. These agreements are available through the Club Manager.
